A Clean Nation Through Public Participation

Vazhakulam Block Panchayat – Waste Management

Public participation plays a vital role in building a clean and healthy community. Proper collection, segregation and scientific processing of waste help protect the environment and safeguard public health.

Vazhakulam Block Panchayat gives importance to collective efforts to encourage public participation in sanitation activities and to create awareness about waste management. Elected representatives, Haritha Karma Sena members, officials, Kudumbashree members, volunteers and the general public can work together to make sanitation activities more effective.

Everyone should adopt responsible waste management practices as part of daily life. These include segregating waste at source, scientifically processing biodegradable waste, handing over non-biodegradable waste to Haritha Karma Sena, and avoiding waste disposal in public places.
